Review: Omnipollo, First Class Imperial Stout Brewed at Dugges Bryggeri in Sweden, this 14% ABV imperial stout is a masterclass in balance and refinement, making it a standout in the world of barrel-aged beers, beating anything I’ve ever tasted before and that’s me just being honest ! On the nose, you’re welcomed by a depth of roasted coconut, offering a rich fruity undertone. With your first sip, dark toffee and molasses embrace your palate with roast coconut and luxurious sweetness, perfectly paired with the earthy bitterness of dark chocolate. The dark fruit notes—plums, figs, and a hint of black currant add a wine-like dimension, marrying seamlessly with the roasted coconut. The barrel aging shines through with subtle vanilla hints and a warming bourbon embrace. The mouthfeel is smooth and velvety, with a luxurious body that coats your tongue while allowing the complexity of each flavor to shine. Despite the high ABV, it’s well-balanced, offering a warming sensation without overwhelming. Every sip reveals something new. 🤩 In short, First Class Imperial Stout is an experience, not just a beer. It’s perfect for those who appreciate deep, rich, and multi-layered brews that invite slow, thoughtful enjoyment. I thankfully got this as part of a beer package for a drinking night with @craftbeerchannel at around £45 . I didn’t get to drink it on that live , but got to enjoy it tonight . If you’re looking to grab a bottle, First Class is still available for around £18 from @beermerchants , making it a luxury treat for those who appreciate a beautifully crafted stout. Not cheap, but absolutely amazing. 😍 The artwork by Karl Grandin perfectly complements this First Class stout. Cheers! Speno, and his new writing helper
